Great stuff you've probably seen by now...

80s Cartoons...Where Are They Now?
80s Cartoons...Where Are They Now? The slangy Northern Brit accents might be a bit strong but this cracked me up!

Re: YouTube Goodness
Okay, once I realised that this wasn't actually an 80s relic, I agree that this is all kinds of awesome.
Seriously, this could have been dug up (like with the old Jason Statham vids now doing the rounds, where he looks like the Silver Surfer) from an old VHS graveyard...only the newer looking effects got me to wondering just exactly what this was.
That's seriously well done in a perfectly authentic way. Wanna see the movie now!

Giving it the benefit of the doubt, at the beginning, I'd thought it was one of his behind-the-times German things, with the generic English lyrics, and the way it couldn't decide whether to rip off Knight Rider or the Road Warrior, and thought they were cool in doing both.Ben wrote:Okay, once I realised that this wasn't actually an 80s relic, I agree that this is all kinds of awesome.
(That, and the fact that Hasselhoff played an 80's-Eastwood-catchphrase character, except maybe for Michael Knight's evil twin.)
But, eventually catching on, it started to be more like that Too Many Cooks thing, where their anger issues clouded their sense of a specific target, and just went after everything that reminded them of Hasselhoff.
No Baywatch jokes, though, which shows restraint.

From the files of Japan is WEIRD...
That's all I can say!
From http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interes ... ork/.87591
"TV Tokyo enlisted Yoshiki to star in a series of short, late-night videos where she yells insults at the audience. Before the episode closes out, she ends on a sweet note and lets the victim (i.e. the viewer) know that she loves them. The show is basically a short product for people who like yandere or enjoy a little bit of masochism.
"In the newest version, Yoshiki takes on the role of your boss. And you really, really messed up at work. In two of the episodes, she reams her "boyfriend" (the viewer) for wearing a business suit at the beach. In the following episode a new employee (again, the viewer) is chewed out for trying to sneak their way into getting a promotion."
To sum up, this is an insult video!
I don't know... I don't even understand what she's saying but I thought it was funny!

Re: YouTube Goodness
She is cute and makes me laugh.
Re: YouTube Goodness
There's another video with the same actress...
From ANN: "Gravure idol Risa Yoshiki's mini-series I Want Risa Yoshiki to Get Angry At Me (Yoshiki Risa ni Okoraretai) was popular enough to get re-upped for sequels. If you didn't catch the video last year, TV Tokyo enlisted Yoshiki to star in a series of short, late-night videos where she yells insults at the audience. Before the episode closes out, she ends on a sweet note and lets the victim (i.e. the viewer) know that she loves them. The show is basically a short product for people who like yandere or enjoy a little bit of masochism. "
They had some translations of what she was saying some of it is borderline language and others are stuff like this => “Don't lie to me, you bag of fresh garbage!”
Yeah, I don't get the bag of fresh garbage joke, either!
Here's the other video they had where she was dressed up in a kimono...
Yes, she's cute but YEESH! that voice is high-pitched! (I've noticed that for a LOT of anime the women DO pitch their voices up high... I guess it's a Japanese thing. Not everybody who does voiceover for anime pitches their voice up THAT high...)

I find her neither shrill or domineering/abusive. Weird and amusing? YES!

Cool short profile of Mark Hammil's Joker!
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
