Re: Planes: Fire & Rescue
Are you on vacation in Europe right now? Wow...news to me... You should have said, we could have met up!
We could have gone to Planet Of The Apes next Tuesday evening or something. Oh well, maybe next time, eh?

But Ben, why would you want to see those dumb dirty apes when there's Planes: Fire and Rescue playing?

Yeah, would you rather see a sequel, or a remake of a 70's sequel?
(And, er, before the passive-hostility Cars 2 jokes get any more "hilarious":
Don't suppose anyone here remembers when Dave Letterman used to do whole weeks of jokes about "Ho ho, I'm never going to see Roger Rabbit!", and everyone else sitting there in the audience had already seen it? Planes jokes from those who just want to poke at the Cars marketing are...sorta like that right now.
I'm with James, it's pretty darn good. Oh, and geek points to anyone who got the Pixar in-joke about watching an old 80's VHS copy of "Howard the Truck".)

Re: Planes: Fire & Rescue
Because Planes - whatever I think about it - is pretty much an automatic Blu-ray pick-up for me as a Disney collector, though I'll only get Apes if I like it...so I need to see it, right (yeah, we all know I'm probably going to get that too!)?Dacey wrote:But Ben, why would you want to see those dumb dirty apes when there's Planes: Fire and Rescue playing?

Well, I was joking.
I'd honestly see most movies over Planes now...including Dwayne Johnson's sure-to-be-a-guilty-pleasure Hercules movie.

I am too, but reviews have been pretty good so far, so apparently there's no need to feel "guilt" for it's "pleasure."
Hmmmm. Since I'm talking about a ScarJo film, I feel like that may have come out wrong....

One of my favorite lines from a Ben review: "Why do they all have teeth!?"

The one I ask most is why the heck they have stairs...
