"Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers is a new Japanese TV series to be created by Disney Japan and will air in the Spring next year.

Produced by long standing Tokyo studio, Toei Animation, it will be a fully localised Japanese series, with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man and a group of teens fighting Loki’s attempts to rule the world, after the other superheroes and villains were trapped in disks designed to hold villains only.

Toei Animation are the folks behind the likes of Sailor Moon, Digimon and the Japanese Transformers. And you can probably expect an English version of Marvel Disk Wars to be made available at some point… somehow…"

Might end up okay, but I cringe at seeing the teen sidekicks! I may not be the target audience, but even as a kid I didn't like the shoehorned kid/animal sidekicks.

Well, they'd already ruined Iron Man, guess they had to move on to the others...

(And Toei? Doesn't Madhouse usually do the soulless import hire work for gaijin US comic-book companies, even though the Japanese don't really know a Western-style superhero when they see one?)
