Gotta say that I'm starting to second guess my ranking at this point, at least where "Tangled" is concerned. It would at least make my top ten now, and possibly even my top five.

I've given up stressing over my picks. I did them a while back and then saw a couple of films again that I'd overlooked and thought that I really should have put them in my choices. Any listing like this is going to change over time and can never really be a true, defining account. But it's fun to see what people like.

I don't mean to sound impatient, I'm just rather curious. I know that the person who was in charge of this poll and producing the best animated films of the decade list had some personal issues in his life and that's why it's been delayed/postponed. Just wondering is it still being worked on or has it been scrapped? Again, purely curious!

Just saw this. Sorry for the delay. I had a major (MAJOR!) medical emergency the last week of voting on this in 2010 and everything else in life was put on hold for several months. When I finally got back to the site this was so far off the radar at that point that it just was forgotten. I've still got all the votes though and had written a program to tabulate them. Probably wouldn't take a lot of work to fire it up and post the results just for fun.

I think it would be fun. I'd like to see how this turned out just for the heck of it (and obviously we're all glad you're okay, James!).

Re: Animated Views' Best of the Decade Film List
This was one of our most successful contests ever, and there wasn't even a prize! There were about 250 entires.
There were about 60 entries remaining and I went ahead and added them to the running tabulation I had going in 2010. As I mentioned earlier in this thread the top of the poll was neck and neck, and those last 60 votes were enough to change the #1 movie from what it was when I stopped counting votes.
I'm going to write this up today so I don't want to give away the winner yet! But here is the bottom of the list. Just as a reminder we had readers choose from a huge list of films their top 15. The #1 film was given 15 points, the #2 movie 14 points, etc....
Of the 118 films on the ballot, 4 did not get a single mention from anyone:
CHICO AND RITA (0 points)
FLY ME TO THE MOON (0 points)
PIGLETS BIG MOVIE (0 points)
SPACE CHIMPS (0 points)
The next 5 lowest were:
THE ANT BULLY (1 point)
ARTHUR AND THE INVISIBLES (2 points)
RUGRATS GO WILD (2 points)
DOOGAL (3 points)
HAPPILY NEVER AFTER (3 points)
I'll try to get the full list written up today and posted by tomorrow!
(BTW - Chico and Rita was one of the very last films of the decade released, and it was not a wide release at that. And as our poll closed on December 31, I doubt many people had seen it. So due to the fact that even now it has not been widely seen I believe it still would be near the bottom of the list, I wouldn't take its 0 votes too seriously.)

That's because they're tied with the film above them.
