Well, depending on what country you were in, it
wasn't:
Most all 80's 3D was in polarized, and so was the 50's--Red/blue was only used later, for revival prints, television, VHS/DVD, and small independent markets where they couldn't use the reflective screen needed for polarized.
But who cares if it's an off-topic Dennis Quaid stinker, it's
80's 3D in the manner it was intended, woohoo!
There's also rumors that George Feltenstein at Warner is a big supporter of getting vintage 3D onto Blu, that Dial M for Murder is one of Warner's big flagship experiments for the summer/fall, and House of Wax and Kiss Me Kate (and Lumber Jack-Rabbit and Ace of Space) are "in the works". But somebody's got to get the big press headlines
first.
