Hear hear! (Side note: I just got the I Dream of Jeannie bottle DVD set for $47 at Costco. Loooooove Barbara Eden. )
I would add that any Pal film is also worth owning.
When I got those two Pal movies off Amazon last year, after delaying for so long, I snabbed them for under $8 each, IIRC. Must have been among the last copies in stock.

Re:
Need I mention that I was a big Urusei Yatsura/Lum fan in the early US days of anime, and when I recently rewatched the Jeannie episodes on disk, people actually wondered why I was cracking up silly watching Eden as Jeannie?...Two characters were never more separated-at-birth.Randall wrote:Hear hear! Unfortunately, I wasn't as big a Dr. Lao fan, and will content myself with "Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm" as soon as Warner can obligate themselves to get around to it.
(And c'mon, not even a LITTLE bit of archive-librarian love for Lost Horizon? This thing's been missing off the face of the earth since it was in theaters!)

I will say that I've got almost every other Pal movie on disc, as I love his stuff.
I don't remember Lao too fondly, but I was probably too young at the time, probably even to appreciate Barbara Eden!
At least I have a UK PAL copy of tom thumb, but it's minus the Tamblyn commentary that the US disc seemed to have.
A real pity that the pressed discs are now OOP, but at least they're still available through the Archive. Anyone know if any extras have been kept?

And didn't know whether to put it in the UPA or Warner Archive thread, but for those who don't want the Shout Theatrical box, the Mr. Magoo "1001 Arabian Nights" (his last old-school "nearsighted" cartoon for UPA before they did Christmas Carol and the Famous Adventures) is now up at the Columbia half of the Archive:
