I'm not sure how I feel about this movie, I think I will put off seeing it for the longest time until I am forced to watch it. Toy Story 2 was already a stretch for me...

Along with thousands of other university students across the nation, I was fortunate enough to see the first 70 minutes of the film. I think it's going to be great, but without an ending, I can't quite compare it with the first two. My first impressions are that it has a little more comedy than the others (Michael Arndt's influence?), though of course they might be saving all the emotion for the finale. The first 70 minutes also seem to recall the more limited settings of the first Toy Story than the more expansive Toy Story 2.

I'm sure there are people blabbing about it all over the web, but I won't reveal any major surprises. It was nice to see Bud Luckey have a voice part. And a minor note (which Lee Unkrich revealed in his introduction):
Sid Phillips from Toy Story 1 has a cameo.

Here's a neat mash-up of the Toy Story 3 and Inception trailers -

Wowsers...apart from the one shot of Buzz doing the fiesta in there (which just seemed out of place for something that worked so well), that has to be one of the most gripping and potentially possible trailer mashes I've ever seen! It's nigh-on perfect down to the synch, and only that comical shot of Buzz broke the elaborately sinister mood.

I'd actually be well up for seeing that movie - good catch! :)

Out shopping today I noticed that the story books for Toy Story 3 were out, and I couldn't help myself so checked out how it ended. I won't spoil anything but I will say this:
I think Pixar have hit another emotional bittersweet ending again. And I think it will be a very satisfying conclusion for the trilogy. I just may develop a cold towards the end of viewing it the first time to hide the misty eyes

If it gets a 100% rating on rotten tomatoes, that would put them at 3 for 3 at 100%, which is pretty amazing.

Doubt that'll happen, but a 99% looks VEEEERY possible from what I've heard.
I love all things cinema, from silent movies to world cinema to animated cinema to big blockbusters to documentaries and everything in between!

Sitting in the theatre right now for a midnight showing! Look for an AV review by Monday at the latest. With a RT score of 100% with 83 reviews in I have high hopes!

Dangit! Projector problems. Movie is 10 minutes overdue now. What do you want to bet they won't skip the commercials for us when they're ready to go?

Roger Ebert's twitter had a funny tweet earlier today:

""Toy Story 3" has 100% on the Meter after 77 reviews. World awaiting Armond White."
