And now...Revenge Of The Nerds 3 and 4!
http://animatedviews.com/2010/tron-3-and-4/
All dependent if the new film is a hit, of course, and unclear if this is a new trilogy they are talking about, or one more film to finish off the three including the 1982 one, or if there will end up being four or five films not including Tron and Tron: Legacy!?
But...this is great news for Programs and Users. End of line...NOT

Re: Tron: Legacy
Disney will once again pull out all the stops promoting Tron Legacy at Comic Con. On Day 1, there will be a morning panel at 11:15am in Hall H moderated by Patton Oswalt and will feature stars Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen, and Bruce Boxleitner, director Joe Kosinski, and producers Sean Bailey and Steven Lisberger. The panel promises to show off new 3D scenes from the film, conduct a Q&A session with the cast and crew, and "special surprise guests".
In addition, Disney has set up a booth on the exhibit floor dedicated specifically to Tron. It will showcase a look at merchandise including toys, electronics, collectibles, apparel, and a demo of the game "Tron: Evolution," which was a hit at last week's E3 convention. The booth will also have exclusive to Comic Con products for attendees to claim.

Re: Tron: Legacy
Wait, you've got the old and new cast reunion, you've got Bridges and Boxleitner because they're in the new film, and you've got Steve Lisberger....what possible "surprise guest" could there BE???Lord Akiyama wrote:Disney will once again pull out all the stops promoting Tron Legacy at Comic Con. (Unless it's maybe David Warner, considering Barnard Hughes is already dead...)

Re: Tron: Legacy
There's been a rumor that Sean Connery is the voice of the new MCP. Perhaps he'll show up to confirm?

Re: Tron: Legacy
Thought there wasn't a new MCP in the new cyber-order....Except for (heh-heh) you-know-who.
(And even if there was, they'd use his voice anyway.)

Re: Tron: Legacy
The viral campaign continues. And it's very similar to what happened before Comic Con last year.
A couple of folks, including Alex Billington of FirstShowing.net received some interesting postcards in the mail yesterday.
As you can see, Encom is on the move. Flip the postcard over and one finds more than just a return address based in San Diego (hint hint) and a description of the game. There's this big black bar at the bottom. And it reveals something hidden when viewed in blacklight.
Folks have yet to figure out what the hidden message lurks from within, but many believe something will definitely go down at Comic Con, which already has the big Thursday panel and a booth set to rock the convention center.
More to come
