Lunar eclipse tonight - 2/20

Post by James » February 20th, 2008, 3:24 pm

http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/L ... Feb21.html

A total eclipse of the Moon occurs during the night of Wednesday, February 20/21, 2008. The entire event is visible from South America and most of North America (on Feb. 20) as well as Western Europe, Africa, and western Asia (on Feb. 21).

Here on the east coast of the USA the eclipse will be in totality at 10:01pm.

I usually bypass being concerned with such events, but my mom called last night and got my daughter excited to see it. She raced to our living room window, and kept me and my wife updated every couple of minutes, at which point we'd go and see it. It was pretty neat.

Noooo, it snowed last night! :( I was really looking forward to seeing it, too.

I know the feeling Meg. It was only visible for like an hour and a half until the snow came here.

We couldn't see it from where I live. It was too cloudy.
