Is it just me, or do most of the recent members sound the same?

Greetings!

Post by AH3RD » November 20th, 2007, 7:15 am

Hello, out there! I am Aaron Handy III, a lifelong devout classic TV buff.

I hail fron The Crescent City Herself, New Orleans, LA. I am a graduate of Isaac Delgado Community College with an Associate of Arts degree. I run a TV Web Shrine in my name, which serves as my "front" page; its Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is in the signature below, and feel free to visit it. The TV shows which I fancy are Batman, The Monkees, Get Smart (CBS), The Hollwyood Squares (NBC), Match Game 73-9/PM, The New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show, The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour, The Harlem Globetrotters, and The All-New SuperFriends Hour. And my favourite movies are Batman (1966), Casino Royale (1967), The Odd Couple, HEAD (both 1968) and MASH (1969). (How much you want to bet that these films have either been spun off from or into well-known TV series?? Even Casino Royale had its turn on the small screen!)

My namesake TV Web Shrine houses 2 webpages which are 'toon oriented: my New Tom & Jerry Info Site and THE FALCON'S LAIR: The Unofficial Guide To Dynomutt Dog Wonder; check em out, too!

It's great to be here! :D :) :o 8)  :P

Wait, I've seen that Tom & Jerry site before, are you a member of Home Theatre forum?

Nice interest though, I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here. Welcome, AH3RD! :)

Welcome to our boards!

Don't keep plugging your sites too much and we'll get on great here! :)

Nice to see a Casino Royale '67 fan too...underrated comedy for all the craziness on set. Just a shame that the new 40th SE has been delayed...

Just thought i'd share this...

Post by Stego » December 27th, 2007, 1:25 am

...Hiya, Folks!

I know it's been a loooooooong time since i posted and i'm almost certain i've become a ghost from the past, but i'm risking it anyway and posting despite it all!

I've been on a sortof web-hiatus of sorts (though i've occasionally dropped by to see what was new 'n all) as i embarked on what has become a milestone in my life: my first published book of cartoons!

No, this is not a shameless advertisement for you to buy my book (though i certainly won't stop you) and i hope this doesn't offend anyone, but i thought it appropriate for this forum to share what has come to be the culmination of the last 11 years of my animated life.

For those of you who don't know me that well, i'm a cartoonist...well, i make my living selling computers, but i still consider myself a cartoonist just the same. I've been drawing a comic strip entitled "Livestock" and have finally amassed enough material (that i'm not too embarassed of!) to fill 120 pages.

I would like to continue cartooning and have several projects lined up including one that i plan on pitching to the networks soon (because i'd really love to get involved in animation).

For more info, please feel free to contact me or visit my website: www.livestockproductions.com

Thanks! :D

Welcome back!

We won't look on this as a shameless book plug...if you stick around! ;)

BTW, that Jurassic Park line always bothered me...I'm surprised that Steven Spielberg, being a Disney nut, didn't correct that date to the actual year Disneyland opened!

Good Call! Still, i find it amusing enough to imagine animatronic pirates chomping on visitors in nutcracker-like fasion!

I'll be sure to stick around this time...thanks for having me back! :)

It would still be amusing even if they'd gotten the dates right!

Disneyland opened 1955, Pirates didn't arrive there until over ten years later!

Nice to have you back, and congrats on getting published! :)

Good point, Ben...that kinda irritates me as much as putting udders on MALE COWS!! But i digress...

Thanks Daniel and Ben...it's been a long journey and the success truly has been that journey (and of course, the goal!).

Funny thing is that i thought that getting published would free me up a bit...but now i've got even more projects i want to do!! I hope you all had a glorious Christmas and that you have time to watch many animated gems!! (myself, i'm enjoying Oswald on my sick day...i feel yucky and elated all at the same time!)

I noticed! Excellent segway/tie-in ;-)

That DVD really is a treasure trove of information and truly a treat to own, by the way.
