Someday I'll probably see "Borat", if only to find out what all the fuss is about.

And yes, SBC is a star now. Like I said, he'll get a bigger paycheck for "Madagascar 2". ;)

Some parts are a bit, well, gross....and some of the things he says are...stupifyingly vulgar and offensive but hilarious because when he says them he's totally UNAWARE that he's offending people.

Anyway, you'll be laughing so hard, you'll barely notice.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

I love how they walk and how they bounce up and down when they jump.
Thanks Vi :P

I love how they were animated! DW could've cheated and made look tacky, but they look so real! And there fur is so shiny

Madagascar: The Crate Escape

Post by CGIFanatic » November 22nd, 2007, 9:32 pm

I looked through all the threads but didn't find an entry for "Madagascar 2" so I created one here.

If a thread already exist for this movie then maybe someone can move this post into it.

Thanks

Anyway, here is the first image (I think) of the movie.

Believe it or not...Madagascar 2 ;)

Don't worry, I'm happy you at least tried, CGIFanatic! :)

As for the first pic, it looks awesome. And look, the penguins, YAY! Hopefully they'll get more development.

I've merged!

Yep...more of the same from DreamWorks...!

And that title? Making "The Great Escape" with chickens wasn't enough? Must all their titles now rest on puns? Looks like they learned something from Aardman after all...

I preferred to see something original with the image, as if it's not enough that the story already has so much similarities with the first part.

Can't say that I'm excited for this sequel :?

Now they are in Africa? (i thought the pinguines said that it's ain't goona fly!),why King Julian is with them? (he left his people all alone? so much for a great king).
Madagascar is nice,but... i don't think it's screams for a sequle.

Seems like an ongoing trend with sequels. Can't say I'm too fond of it. :?

I really liked the penguins in the Christmas short and the part they had in the movie (but I do love penguins) but I do feel like there will be a ton more penguins in the sequel. I'm not one to have much hope for sequels but Dreamworks did do a superb job with Shrek 2. I loved that one ^.^

As in screen time, right? ;) As much as I love them, I don't want more penguins.

I got a feeling your right, though...

Thanks for moving my post Ben.

Daniel, I did a search for Madagascar and still the thread didn’t show up, I suppose next time I’ll use a better magnifying glass

As to the suggestion about the penguins, I looked all over the place but nowhere did I hear there would be more penguins in the movie.

Foxtale, where did you hear this information?

Daniel- I did mean more screen time for the penguins. I don't think seeing more of them would be better, I'm afraid they might show them so much that it will be over kill. A nasty habit of sequels is to milk the most loveable characters in the first one to the point where they are no longer cute/funny/awesome/etc.

CGIFanatic- I didn't actually hear this. That is just my prediction. ^.^ Sorry to sound so definite.
