Hollywood Reporter. In case know one has heard.

Half of me sympathizes, but the other half not so much.
Aside from a few live action shows, I think this will affect me more with primetime animated shows, ie
The Simpsons,
Family Guy,
King of the Hill. -- Of course, this will only happen if the strike pans out long, as its predicted to be. (Yup, even longer than the last one!)
Lets just hope for the best...

Well, the strike could be bigger than the last writer's strike back in the 80's.

That's what a lot of people are predicting and I really hope that's not the case. Its not so much TV, but how its affecting a lot of people.
Offtopic - kinda shocked this hasn't gottan much replies, since its such a hot topic. Here's a
list of showrunners that, as the headline states, will have their pencils down.

Noo, not The Office and Eureka!
Let's hope this doesn't last as long as they expect it to.

Did anyone see the article about Eisner calling this strike "Insanity"?

And
Family Guy might be going into reruns sooner!! Likewise
The Simpsons, as mentioned
here. Noooooo! I hope they don't delay the Bob episode.
Edit: here's more
info on
Family Guy and
24. The situation with Seth is very interesting.

Just saw this over at No Homers Club:
Al Jean wrote:To The Members of No Homers:
If you would like to show how you have appreciated the writing on the Simpsons over the years, and show your support for the Simpsons writers during the current WGA strike, you can log onto
http://unitedhollywood.blogspot.com/ where there will be a banner or button allowing you to click through to buy boxes of pencils. The pencils are plain wooden #2's, and the company uses sustainable farming for the wood. The pricing is approximately a dollar a box. (Sustainably harvested wood pencils + PayPal cost per transaction puts us a little higher than the cost of a box if you buy at Office Depot, sorry.) If there's any money left over, it will be donated to the Union Solidarity Fund, which is a nonprofit for non-WGA members affected by the strike.
When you click to buy the pencils, you can choose to identify the show you are supporting. If you choose to click "Familly Guy", fine with me. The pencils will be
delivered in bulk, to the 6 CEOs of the 6 congloms (Disney, News Corp, Viacom, Time Warner, CBS, GE) one by one.
Feel free to include a polite message with your pencils. Please do not say "get new writers". We appreciate your support, as we have appreciated all of your interest and enthusiasm over the past 20 years.
Al Jean
You have my support, Al!

I don't have a PayPal account, but I do know someone who does, so I'll definetely buy a couple of boxes
real soon.

Ok, what about "get Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein back".
