I hope she does, or at least an estimate.

Now I'm wondering if Sally Field is in this, since she was rumored to voice Ariel's mother Athena.

The film is now called The Little Mermaid:Ariel's Begining and it will be released in August 20th,it will have music video and more and the villain's name is Marina Del Ray and she'll be voiced by Sally Field (i think that Marina Del Ray will be more like The Evil Manta or the Blowfish from the series then Ursula),in June they'll make books of the film (like the Cinderella III books in November 2006).
Also-it will go to the valut with The Little Mermaid PE and my guess that also with a Little Mermaid II Special Edition.

Ooh, that's one film I must get! ;)

K, the new title is cool, much better than the "III" which would lead people to believe its a real sequel, when in reality its a prequel. And yay, I'm happy Sally Field is confirmed! :)

Ps, the above info comes from UD.

I wish they'd done that with Cinderella, just calling it "Cinderella: A Twist In Time".

As with Bambi, Tarzan and some others, they are not real IIs and IIIs.

Lameo subtitle though: Ariel's Beginning? A return to that wonderful list made up in the 1980s when all the Disney features were given literal names!

Seriously, Ariel's Beginning? Wow, that's mean. :(

Is it just me or that the plot (Trion don't allow music in Altantica and it's up to Ariel to bring it back) sounds like an episode from the series? and again,i have a felling that the villain will be something like The Evil Manta (even her name,Marina Del Ray) and my guess is that she'll control Triton or something.
It's sounds like the episode In Harmony (anyone remember it?).

Triton...won't alllow...music in Atlantica?

(faints from dumbness of the plot)

I have a feeling that the villain is a witch-fish or something (it isn't make sense if she is?).

I suppose...

Actually, yes, it does sound like an episode from the series. But I'm predicting Disney is just keeping things secret. I hope! :)

Did you know other countries got that as the title? Lucky them. :(

I don't think anyone got that as a title. It was III everywhere as far as I know. Just saying it would have been better without!

On Mermaid III...that plot sounds dumb if it's supposed to be a prequel!!

I'm not 100% sure, but I heard the UK was originally going to get it as "3" than later on it got dropped. Edit: typed the title, and got the UK's Amazon page, which states it as Cinderella - A Twist in Time. Hmm? ;)

One thing I am sure of though, is Holland got it labeled as Cinderella: Back in Time. I'm torn, I like both Twist and Back! :)

Twist In Time is the better title. It says more. Dropping the III is great, I didn't know we got it like that here. It's much better.

I very exited for LM3 I can hardly wait!

The little mermaid is one of favorite movies and I love part 2, one of the best sequels.
