Apparently next Sunday (Oct. 28th) is World Animation Day. Who knew?
To celebrate, the National Film Board of Canada is presenting free animation-related screenings in selected cities across Canada this week. I figure this is something that should be posted on animated-news. There's lots more info on this site: http://www.nfb.ca/webextension/animation-day/

Picking up a Triplets Of Belleville vibe from the site - nice!
I've always kept up with the NFBC over the years and really think what they do and how they contribute is a major support of animation as a whole.
The week-long activities sound most inviting - especially being free! With that in mind, it's well worth paying traveling costs in order to make some of these events for those who can.
That "Tower Bawher" short on the main page is wonderful...stirring and highly individual.
"REVOLT" indeed!
