Nice avatar Dan. I like this one a lot! ;)

And I obviously made the Frog Princess comments before all the changes, right?

Yes, I was using them to make the point that the original FG concepts were quite different than what Lassetter wants it to be.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

According to Animation Nation (I couldn't get it to work with my connection right now) there is a short video feature from Holland that features one of the story guys from the new Goofy short How to Hook up Your Home Theater, with some of his boards/rough footage/animation to boot!! :D

The link they posted is in Dutch, but pretty self-explanatory....

I don't. The Simpsons Movie is based on a show with an already HUGE fan base - something original 2-D movies don't have. This isn't doing well because it's 2-D, it's doing well because it's The Simpsons. If anything, this will cause more animated TV shows to make the jump to the big screen, ala Family Guy (yeeech!)

Sure, it's great that a 2-D feature is doing great but this is in a different category than, say, a Disney animated film, IMHO.

Yep, agreed with Meg. I'm not sure it will lead to a sure of TV-to-movie translations though...they've always been a hit and miss bag.

For every Simpsons or South Park movie there's a Teacher's Pet or Aqua Teen Hunger Force...

I actually liked Teacher's Pet. :( Never cared for the show, though.

Anyway, I agree too.
