Wow, AWESOME!!

Thanks Meg.
The teaser was great. That voice and laugh sent chills up my spine.
The picture: Heath looks like he'll be great but it STILL looks like his smile is just painted on, not scarred. Hopefully this will get cleared up in the film, maybe it didn't happen all the way yet or something.
EDIT: Just looked again, and it actually could be scarred, since he's not "smiling all the way" at that moment. I just didn't notice it right away.
But...wow....that
voice. It definetely seems like Heath has nailed this part. This movie might end up even outgrossing Jack's film....you never know!!

Why does his smile "have" to be scarred? It's not in the comics.

Why does it have to be in the comics?

Because that is the source!
But...really, I see your point. Plenty of things have been changed for other films...it's "interpretation" after all, right?
I like the Jack-influenced voice and laughing toy echo from the 1989 Bats...not that I think there will be any more references past those.
Should be good...at least it has a better villain than the first one.

The first one had a villain?
*That's a jab, of course.

He really was a sorry excuse for a
Batman villain.

I was talking about Scarecrow, but to be more clear; he was one of the best things in movie, I just hated how little screentime he had and how cheap his closure was.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, Meg.

So what about Rhas Al Gul? I thought he was a pretty good villain.

The guy who trained Batman? I honestly don't remember if I liked him or not.

How can he be a villain if he trained Batman, was doublecrossed and died before doing anything?
All three (four?) villains in Bats Begins were none starters.

I thought Ras Al Gul was pretty cool as well and considered him the 'main villain' much more than I did Scarecrow.

Some of this might already be known but the FAQ section of The Dark Knight on IMDB has some really interesting tidbits!!
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/faq#.2.1.10
For instance:
Scarecrow might also be returning. No confirmation as of yet, but there have been pictures taken of him (with the mask) on the set.
Anthony Michael Hall has been listed in the cast, but who he's playing is still unknown.
