Pepsi and Back to the Future--now THAT'S some synergy right there.
MJF also did some that year, but playing "himself" not Marty:
(This commercial aired in '85, but Marty didn't go back to 1885 until part III...in 1990. Hmmm.....)
Still can't believe they got away with doing this....well, Coke got'em back in that Max Headroom commercial in 1987...
(Y'know, where Max is "interviewing" a Pepsi can....)

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

I was thinking about the comment you made way back Ben:
Did the really have a "falling out"? Why?
No. J/K
I also read this on Animation Nation:
Crispin Golver also declined, but they manged with footage from the first and a double who was found working at the Universal theme park! That they didn't have Crispin there only adds to the technical wizardry they pulled off in Part II...not only was it shot four years later, but one of the main actors wasn't even there!
Animagus
Speaking of Zemeckis, Crispin Glover, and "Back to the Future", would "Beowolf", mark the first time that Zemeckis and Glover have worked together since that first BTTF film? I know that they had some kind of "falling out" during the shooting of the first one (hence, the up-side down, older "George McFly" character in BTTF II is a different actor).

Do you ever watch anything from start to finish on HBO, Vi? Wink
No. J/K

I think the falling out had to do with the fact that Golver was in a funny place mentally at the time and would miss turning up on time, not knowing his lines, not being able to get in character for the right scene (he had trouble grasping the concept of shooting a film out of sequence).
As far as I know, he WAS asked back for BTTF II, but said no.

I came across his Superman once and didn't find it that funny (despite the lyrical quality of John Williams' theme and how easy that would be to come up with something), but that BTTF one was much, much better!
I didn't check out the others here...I seem to have a memory of not making it through the Bond one before.
But...that was pretty darn funny!
