But Cars don't need humans, which was the whole problem with the movie.

Despite what many are saying about the film, Mumbles tap dancing with Chris Walken or someone like that to present Best Animation would be very sweet.

I just couldn't help but remember Shrek and Fiona's appearance at the Golden Globes five years ago, as well as the "reactions" of Shrek, Donkey, Mike and Sulley when Shrek won the Oscar.

And yeah, it's a little hard to picture anyone driving lightening McQueen or riding him. I don't imagine that anyone as conceited as McQueen would ever LET anyone ride him...?

Maybe the reason they couldn't show real humans driving the cars was because it brings up issue of well, what happens those humans use the cars for activities other than driving?

(Sorry to be profane, but you have to admit it's a valid point....:P)

Heheh -- I remember that. I absolutely loved Mike's reaction.

I remember that Edna Mode made an appearance a couple of years ago, as well, when The Incredibles was nominated.

I sure would like to see another Pixar character make a quick cameo on stage this year too, but I agree with Ben in that a tap-dancing Mumble would be more appropriate (and slightly cooler) than a rumbling car driving up on stage. ;)

Didn't it have something to do with a poem he wrote?

Actually, I think he recited part of a famous poem he liked when he won the prize (BAFTA for Best Actor, A Beautiful Mind) , but the director edited it out for time.

Crowe was so upset that he apparently jumped the guy. (well, something like that.)

Well, at least there weren't any telephones involved.

OMG Ben you read my mind!!! :D

Um, I think anyway....

Isn't that the South Park spoof that made him like Steve Irwin looking around for Crocs, except he was looking for "fights"? I laughed so hard at that one...

BTW just FYI, I read on AN that the Annies are happening on Feb. 11.

If you want to go, it's $100 a seat for the public.

I'm getting anxious....

Happy Feet was a great movie (loved it) but CARS just has to win....
And Babel has to win too! (Best movie of the year!)
