Said it before, and I'll say it again... sequels are an inherent part of Hollywood filmmaking these days...
If the current Disney regime wants to make them to their own (ie: read post-1984) films, then they're welcome to it, even if the majority do suck.
But the Walt films should not be touched, as Walt had plenty of time to sequelize the ones he wanted to (and he did, on occaision).
The DisneyToon people should be doing their own films...like The Three Musketeers, etc, or the series of fairytales that never made it past The Ugly Duckling's story stage...

Really? I loved Lion King 1½. It wasn't really a sequel but more like a different point of view, a different telling of the story. And I'm a huge Timon and Pumbaa fan, so it was easily enjoyable.Kaszubas wrote:Well... third Lion King was embarassing enough...

Oh, the eyes being in the windshields is much better. Having the eyes in the headlights would've looked silly. The eyes would be too small, and the bodies of the cars would look like they have hunchbacks. XP

As with any movie Lion King 1½ may have its imperfections but it is not a good example of why "sequels suck."
I thought you liked Return to Never Land, Ben.The DisneyToon people should be doing their own films...like The Three Musketeers, etc, or the series of fairytales that never made it past The Ugly Duckling's story stage.

Yeah. You want a good example...I'd say (even though The Emperor's New Groove is one of my favorite movies) Kronk's New Groove. Man, I wanted that sequel to be so good, and at the same time, somehow I knew I was going to see something cruddy.Christian wrote:As with any movie Lion King 1½ may have its imperfections but it is not a good example of why "sequels suck."
Ahem. But I think I'd like to get back to Kinoo's Cars adventure!

You so silly Meg.
My mom just came back from Wal-Mart with 8 different Cars figures! They are so nicely detailed, especially Mater and Filmore. Mom said they were only $2.88 each, and there are 12 to collect. Trust me, they are reeeeaaaally nice.
