You guys remind me why I don't watch "South Park".

I suppose it's just not for me.

South Park

Post by PixarVixen » April 28th, 2006, 3:08 pm

One of my best friends was discussing South Park and said that it won't be on that much longer. He said that the show is becoming way too over the top and many of the jokes are getting old. Does anyone feel the same way?

I still like the show, and yet I can understand what he was talking about.

The most over the top it's ever been is "Woodland Critter Christmas", so I really don't know what your friend is talking about.

I love this show. I didn't watch it for a long time but I only recently started getting into it again. It's as good as ever.

And I loved this week's episode with Al Gore and "ManBearPig"! :D

Well, whatever your friend thinks about it, it WILL be on much longer. The boys recently signed for at least three more years in the Park.

Last night's Nanny 911 parody with Cartman was hilarious. :D

Last night's episode was the best this season minus the Chef one.

It really wasn't a parody of Nanny 911. It only brought up those two shows very quickly, so you could get a sense of just how evil Cartman is (as if him making Scott Tenorman eat his own parents wasn't evil enough), and then the Dog WEEsperer comes and does a better job than the Nannies. I thought the episode was hilarious. Cartman episodes are always great, and this was no exception. Everytime Cartman would lay on the floor when he got "Tsst"d was hilarious, and when he was being taken on a walk. And the ending was perfect too. Great great episode.

Oh it was awesome. I never thought I'd feel sorry for Cartman's mother.
Plus that whole thing where what he just says is repeated and his face is all blurred and split like in a sci-fi film, WHAT movie was that from? It looks so familiar but I can't remember. :?

I think the past three seasons have been really good, before that it was getting old. But I think they did a good job making the show watchable again, but not every new episode is a classic.
