Well...we like animation, and when it's done well, it's done well.
So true.

I don't like Kronks New Groove OR The Lion King 2, but I'm sure a small child would. Who cares dude?
But other people do, people who watch Disney end up watching a crappy sequel and there are Disney fans who don't like Disney sequels, if Walt Disney was still alive he'd be pissed or have a heart attack.
Some sequels suck some don't.

I'm also glad we have someone that has talked to the real Walt Disney!

But Disney has the worst ideas for sequels.

Uh...compared to what? Traditonally sequels have never been all that good. With the exception of films like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Godfather, Shrek, Toy Story and a few others, sequels are just that...sequels. They're not terrible but not mind-blowing either.

There are live-action sequels that aren't very good but I like them anyway: City Slickers II, Child's Play II, Bad Boys II, Terminator II and III (in my opinion the original Terminator is the best), Aliens, others. Yeah they're not "great", but it doesn't mean they're a total waste of time either. Same thing with Disney seqels.

They really don't have the worst sequels compared to everyone else. Look at the third Back to the Future. What was THAT.

The Lion King 1 1/2 was a GREAT sequel idea.

What? Back to the Future 3 is actually good unlike The Lion King 1 1/2.

THAT movie was half good half horrible. Most of the movie was good (and I'm a sucker for Pete), but the songs were completely terrible. I was disapointed in the songs so much. I'm glad I rented it instead of going out and buying it.

I'll give it a try anyway. Also, I saw parts of An Extremely Goofy Movie when it was on Disney Channel, but I want to watch it all the way through.
Plus I can't wait to see Lion King 1 1/2! I loved the teaser for it.

Pumbaa: "More like a...behind-the-scenquel!"

Timon: "A What-a-who-qual?"

"No, Pumbaa, we're going back....to before the beginning."

:D

I used to watch Timon and Pumbaa. It wasn't my favorite show, but some episodes were O.K.

An Extremely Goofy Movie, like I said, isn't anywhere near as good as the original, but it's hard to get even close to the awesome that the first movie was. Damn I love that movie. But the sequel is good on its own, and the dance stuff at the end is awesome. The animaion also is very close to the original. I like it alot.

Lion King 1 1/2 is just awesome. I really can't say anything more beyond that. I loved it.

I'm surprised you didn't like the Back To The Futures, Mac. Part II was, for me, contained some of the best ideas in a mainstream Hollywood sequel - going back to the first film and deconstructing it and see the key moments from a different perspective? Plus actually techincally using footage from that movie to tell an alternate story when it hadn't been planned that way?

C'mon dude - that rocked! Future III, again for me, was fun, and I LOVE that ending, but that was the one for me where things got a bit bogged down.

Still - not wishing to cause a major discussion on those films here - but I was just surprised that you particularly didn't warm to them.

The first Back to the Future is the best IMO. It was never able to be topped.

Spider Man 2, however, WAS better than the first movie.

True Spider-Man 2 is awesome but have you seen the Jaws sequels and Batman & Robin?
