I don't think they'll have that much of that in there, maybe just the occasional off-color remark. (Plus Johnny Depp practically said the same thing as Willy Wonka: "Don't touch that squirrel's nuts!")

Anyway, this is kinda interesting. (But a little mean too.

That pic in the article is Avatar-worthy.

How much did the movie cost anyhow?

I'm not sure. It definetely looks expensive, though.

With all that fur, grass, hedge leaves, porcupines, and humans to boot, I bet this film didn't come cheap.

But it still looks AWESOME.

The new trailer: I have a feeling, alas, that it's filled with spoilers.

But I do have a pet theory: animated films that star furry animals do more boffo biz than unfurry animated films.)
I agree. I think the biggest reason The Incredibles didn't do as well as Finding Nemo was that it starred humans instead of cute fishies, which is a shame.

Yes, but "Nemo" had a few things going for it that "Incredibles" didn't.

For one thing, "Nemo" had a summer release date, which meant that kids were off from school and could go pretty much any day they wanted to.

Also, the only real competition the film had was from DreamWorks' undermarketed (and underrated) "Sinbad", which was a box office disaster.

"The Incredibles", on the other hand, came out in early November, had to compete with "Polar Express", "Spongebob Squarepants" and "National Treasure, and wasn't marketed nearly as much.

As for how well "Over the Hedge" will do, it should be huge for about three weeks, and could finish its run with about $120M-$150M.

Who knows how much "Cars" will make? A lot, that's for sure.

The box office is so unfair. *sigh*

I wonder if Cars or Over the Hedge will do better.

My guess is it'll be "Cars", though that's mainly because "Over the Hedge" will be going against "The Da Vinci Code" and "X-Men 3". Still, you never know for sure.

And hey, with $250M, "The Incredibles" certainly wasn't a flop. :)

I haven't seen the first two. But I may see this one. It's breathtaking when that character Angel spreads out his wings and starts flying. :)

But back on "Over the Hedge": The new poster is nice. Anyone agree?
