My Bambi II Review

Post by Hoagiebot » February 22nd, 2006, 7:46 am

I watched Bambi II yesterday, and despite the fact that I really wasn't expecting too much from it, I have to say that I was really very pleasantly surprised and found myself enjoying it. Now I have a big confession to make-- as sacriligious as it sounds, I never really cared for the first Bambi film. I felt that it was very slow and uninteresting at parts. But the Bambi sequel was rather lively and well-paced, and there was plenty of cute humor thoughout that kept the story upbeat without becoming obnoxious. And with how the film portrayed a hunter's deer call (I won't go into detail about that because I don't want to spoil anything), I found that to be a pretty creative and neat thing to add to the film! The film had plenty of suspense, a decent soundtrack, very good voice acting, stunning backgrounds, and most of the dialogue was pretty good. I wouldn't exactly say that this was the greatest animated feature film thatI have ever seen in my life, but it is definitely above par and is worthwhile purchasing and watching before its 70-day release period is up. So on a 1 to 5 scale with 5 being the best, I would definitely say that this movie is a solid 4. Hopefully my review helps.
There's a 68.71% chance that I'm right.

Oooh, yeah, the deer call part was so cool. Reminded me of Watership Down, for some reason.

Anyway, I'll agree that this was a cute film, and very pretty. I hated the songs, though - they didn't fit into the movie at all.

I do have to admit, I did like "The Healing of a Heart" in the credits, but 1st sign of spring sounded so awkward. I did like There is life though.

I thought the Spring song and There Is Life were one and the same?

It'll probably air on Disney Channel some time or another.

No, I actually have it.

I just haven't gotten around to watching it with the Olympics and all.

That's my favorite part too! Unfortunately, all the rest of my family hates it so we never watch it. Bobsledding is cool too, because I like how fast they go.

Curling also is the only sport in which you actually have to factor in the Coriolis Force. :D
