The day we saw coming is finally here... DMI will sunset on December 4th. Last day to earn points will be September 6th. No real surprise but still sad. It's been fun. :( :(

At this point, I can't say I'll miss it much. It's felt like it's been winding down for a while. But I did get some good deals once upon a time.

Time to splurge…? Or are they hinting at some last few weeks blowouts? I donut want to throw my last 5K or so points away only to find they offer the holy grails…! ;)

Hmmm…"more items to be added", eh? I did see that in their email, too. Looks like I may just hold out in the hope of a grail or two… At the moment, only the Women Of Disney Animation book holds any true interest — actually, held any interest, as predicted it just went out of stock since last night! — with maybe a couple of discs as possibles, but I’d really only be using up points rather than really wanting those. Come on Cinders…! ;)

Just a heads up to keep an eye on Disney Insiders as the rewards scheme winds down…they're adding and taking things away left right and center.

A couple of new things up yesterday, and several taken down today, and a few new Jim Shore trinkets up, although very points heavy. I’m checking at least once a day and will splurge my last few thou when I see something cool…should have maybe nabbed a book, but nothing else yet! I know I’ll be reduced to picking up that Rocketman Blu, won't I…!?

Thanks Dan…I didn’t think that light-up B&B piece was a Shore, but they have labeled it as such. I’m basically waiting on a book or certain disc(s) or something that I didn’t know I needed…! At least they are adding things and not just saying they will…!

EDIT:

Hahahahahahahaaaaarrrr… I did just redeem for the Rocketman Blu-ray!

I have actually seen this, on TV late night sometime, when I was up at my Mum/Mom's, and we did have a laugh over it. Interesting to see if the bits we smiled at sill stand up. I'm guessing not really, but there's really very little else of note left, and I thought I should get *something*. Still leaves me with 4200 points to waste on Jungle Book 3D or a West Side Story Blu if things come to it, though I’d love if a surprise book or 4K popped up. But, yeah, that made me smile while redeeming that!

They keep adding things with too high points values! At least have a "sale" on those and some of the other higher value things. I’ll probably end up going for Jungle Book 3D and West Side Story on Blu (Canada is "luckier" with a 4K offering but also has to put up with bilingual packaging) simply because they’re the only things there I don’t have. I just can’t bring myself to get Hocus Pocus! ;)

Sorry, Ben, but they’re out of Jungle Book 3-D now.
