Elsa's still there at the top with FII, though, but that’s not expected to hold. Such good news for The Lamp and, hopefully, movies in general, now that the Covid Blip has settled back down and streaming has been revealed to not be the answer to everything. Go movies! ;)

Lion King remake still made more.

Anyone who denies that is paid by Disney.

I’m obligated to point out that Frozen II was still playing when it was halted by the pandemic.

(Also, no one here is paid by Disney)

If inflation were adjusted for, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs would appear at the top of the chart with an adjusted gross of $1,977,000,000.

It's jus that this forum seems to favor Disney over all its competition. Like Disney never does anything wrong, and is the only American animation studio that has good quality.

But... Lion King is also Disney. Not seeing the point.

I’m just always amazed when people think that of us. I think Eddie Valiant also accused us of being on someone’s payroll before, and like no, we’re not.

Even Inside Out is Disney, so it’s all kind of a moot point.

We’ve been on this merry-go-round before as well: despite what we think, the photorealism, production techniques and Disney's own categorising mark The Lion King as a "live-action" picture. We may not agree with that, or even like it, but that's why it’s not included in the animation list of grosses.

And Farerb is right: Snow White for the win (and Gone With The Wind over Avatar!). You can't beat inflation! ;)

BTW, Disney does plenty wrong…Frozen II and aforementioned Lion King remake for starters…!

(And yes, Dace, we know you liked FII, and so did around half a billion other people, before they realised what they were in for, but that doesn’t make it good!) :)

Oh pooh…Disney playing their same old tricks with only a wide release Blu-ray/DVD combo and limited edition 4K/BD steelbook:

https://www.mediaplaynews.com/inside-ou ... d-sept-10/

Fun that it comes out just in time for my birthday, but dammit! I had hoped it being such a big hit that it would be a regular wide 4K release, and had heard that it might have been Sony's first release under that new deal, though it’s not clear if that’s the case.

At least the 4K steel artwork isn’t so sucky-sucky as some of the other ones, so I can live with that. It doesn’t state that it’s a Walmart exclusive, though I guess it may be again…

James, if you are picking one up could I put a request in for an extra, please? :)
