Re: Upcoming animated films calendar and date changes
AMC is now listing a mystery anime film for 11/ 8/ 23. No one knows what anime film it is yet, however.

Re: Upcoming animated films calendar and date changes
The Garfield Movie has a tentative release date of May 24, 2024.
Migration and Inside Out 2 (probably pointless for Trolls/Wish) need their posters updated.

Any chance you'll be adding the Pixar trio?

Re: Upcoming animated films calendar and date changes
I was off the site for the last few months of 2023 so it got behind. Happy to be back and love doing the calendar! Made an update to the web version too, with studio logos on the films with no posters yet, rather than the AV logos that used to be placeholders.

Well why didn’t we think about that before! Duh! Really nice! My only "note" would be that they look a *little too* greyed out,
Wow…we have a lot of Disney, Pixar and DWA films to look forward to!

New poster for Inside Out 2:
Probably already on your to-do list but just in case.

I saw it but I think I like the teaser poster better! Still might change it though since this one will probably look better full screen on the app.

Re: Upcoming animated films calendar and date changes
Weird movie title goings-on this week.
- At Cinemacon last week Rhianna talked about her Smurfs movie with a giant logo treatment behind her that said "The Smurf Movie". But no outlets are mentioning it or even calling it that. THR shows the logo but in the headline and article continues to call it "The Smurfs Movie". https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movie ... 235871717/
- After being called the untitled Last Airbender film since announced, this week everyone started calling it "Aang: The Last Airbender"... but no one has a source and no one is pointing out the movie now having a title is kinda big news. THR does mention it is a working title, but no source for that either.
Until we get confirmation, I'm not using either title!

Re: Upcoming animated films calendar and date changes
The fact it has a logo suggests they’re calling it The Smurf Movie to differentiate from previous Smurfs movies, but because everyone is used to saying Smurfs, THR hasn’t picked up that they dropped the s and continues to call it The Smurfs Movie. Either that, or someone is in big smurf because they forgot the s on the logo, but that’s a pretty big stretch because these things go through so many levels and approvals.
I think the default setting is for everyone to assume it’s The Smurfs Movie, but that Paramount are in fact making the subtle but clear distinction that this is The Smurf Movie. Besides, if it is The Smurfs Movie, it would need an apostrophe after Smurfs, for The Smurfs' Movie, or go with The Smurfs's Movie, and they may not have wanted to get into that whole thing, so have taken the less tangled route and gone with The Smurf Movie, which is what my money would be on.
As for Avatar…no idea! Could be a working title, but sometimes those end up sticking anyway!
