Over time … like many logos that present themselves in capitals, the written names have apparently followed suit: the companies don’t mind as it gives their names a certain cache so they don’t dispel it and lots of sheeple follow that and type them out in redundant capitals.
And uninspired at best. That poster offers up nothing in the way of intrigue or interest. Johnson looks so bland she may as well just have been snapped whole out walking instead of being the big face on an action/thriller/whatever this is supposed to be movie poster. Even *she* doesn’t seem to be interested in what's going on around her, or what might be about to happen in her storyline…
I know they’re dumping this out in dead February in a hope of being the one thing like this out there then, but are they seriously hoping this is going to make any money? Is this even on anybody's radar…!?
I donut have a link as this was big enough to make our News channels here (gosh!), but Jonathan Majors is toast after being found guilty of charges of assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend: Disney has immediately dropped him from all upcoming projects. Not a surprise, but yet more affecting those carefully laid plans and causing disruption to the already fracturing MCU-MCM.
The fact that his dropping by Marvel is the bigger story over an actor being found guilty for what he was accused of says about all that needs saying about what is seemingly important in today's society.
Well, not really. She’d shot her part in Aqua 2 before the trial, seen it cut back in the sequel, won’t be doing any promos for the release or apparently any upcoming projects for Warners, so…
In other news, just seen that the extended version of No Way Home has popped up here on Netflix UK, with the Spidies' Zoom intro and a couple of minutes of extra scenes. Still waiting for a disc release of that version, so the fact that it’s popped up on a sub service might mean Sony can put that out in a few months as still waiting to get a definitive version on disc!
Makes sense, from when they brought Daredevil in, and considering that the prevention f R-rated content is going out the window with Deadpool 3 anyway. Might as well make it all even more fragmented…!
Sorry, guys, in terms of a tight story construction — well, not that "tight" but as a consistent storyline — the MCU for me starts with Iron Man and ends with Endgame and the two additional Spidey flicks as a coda. I've enjoyed other bits but, really, it’s gotten too unwieldy, even before retro-fitting additional titles into the timeline.
Super bland title reveal (what is it with Marvel and their basic titles!?), and haha at the "happy ending", like this is going to be the last of them, but although I think this will indeed split the MCM apart like nothing before, it could also conversely send it in a desperately needed and fresh new direction. Bring it on.
