Animated Views is 20!

Wow. Twenty years. There’s no way we’ve been doing this for two decades! But it’s true. Animated Views turns 20 today.

We're going to have some special features for you all week, including a blog post and reader poll both already live!

As I like to say every anniversary, we started this site for one reason: we enjoy sharing our love of animation with fellow fans. But let’s be honest. The real reason we’re still here after all these years is because of you, our readers. So thank you all for giving us this opportunity!

Happy 20th!

I don't even remember when I first discovered or started visiting this site, but I know it was at least 2006, because I remember reading about Don Knotts' death on this site and I had already been a constant visitor by then.

So ever since at least 2006, Animated Views has been the very first website I visit on my daily Internet browsing: before reading news sites, before Wikipedia, before social media, etc. Animated Views was the first site that made me realize that others are into animation like I am.

I'm not active in the forums, but trust me when I say I visit this site every single day. Here's to 20 and hoping for 20 more!

ibrmacf is an early morning visitor. Not only were they the first person to reply to our 20th anniversary post, they also were the first person to make a comment on the site when we added that feature!

Always glad to see Hila on the forums! You literally feel like just as much of the AV team as any of the writers!

New anniversary post for today: our complete newsletter archives starting in 2003 and running intermittently until 2012. Not super useful, but kinda fun in a time capsule kind of way!
