LBT was already playing here earlier this year, for whatever reason.
Also I guess this is how we’re getting Mummies in the states?

They should run the original Mermaid and see how that fares…

American tail would have been a great choice for this weekend also.

While Regal is countering with $2 movies.
And...pretty much the exact same lineup of DreamWorks, Sony and Illumination animateds.
(Is it wrong that I'm old enough to remember when there were so few family movies in the mid-70's that Saturday Matinees became a studio/theater cottage industry, and MGM and Columbia got into the business of kiddy reissues of Forbidden Planet and Seventh Voyage of Sinbad?)

While Cinemark countered with $1.50 movies. And only half of the exact same list.

It's already streaming on
HBOMax.
The popular belief is that it's already on Netflix, which is incorrect, but kind of hints at WHY we think so.

I still don’t get why it’s not WB-Max, or just plain WB+. Max as a brand name is just nothing.

Somewhat related…
The original The Land Before Time is getting a CG update: casting is now starting to spread for the voice of the characters in what will be a photo-realistic version, currently titled Littlefoot: A Land Before Time.
No other details yet, but that’s what I’m hearing on the grapevine…

…the grapevine…
I was somewhere the other day and someone mentioned it. I have no idea what it is…could be a special, could be a movie, could be whatever, but I just heard rumblings of a casting call for a new LBT to be done in photorealistic CG. To be honest, I’m surprised we haven’t already seen something like this, outside of Dinosaur.

Was never a WWD fan, so never saw the movie, but here’s hoping the upcoming new series will be better.
