He's one of the lucky ones to be on BV's mailing list for review screeners - no big mystery.
We just got one in at DVD Toons too, so expect a full review there soon.
BTW, we DON'T review movies here at Animated News, since that would be biased towards whoever sent us freebies. We're a news site. What Christian is able to do is post an overview of what to expect from a disc.

The "Making of" feature is pretty good. Andreas shows people how to draw Thumper and I may even give it a try tonight. You can also choose to have trivia facts pop up on the screen about the production of the movie and about animals in real life (yes, Disney knows their characters are not 100% true-to-life), and there is a Thumper Hurry and Scurry game.
The movie fits in perfectly between the end of Chapter 16 and the beginning of Chapter 17 on the DVD of the original, although I think one line from the original is repeated at the beginning of the sequel.

That's very interesting. It would be neat to watch both movies that way.Christian wrote: The movie fits in perfectly between the end of Chapter 16 and the beginning of Chapter 17 on the DVD of the original, although I think one line from the original is repeated at the beginning of the sequel.

Though this is one time I wish they'd shot it for 1.33:1, and kept the original ratio from the original movie.
Lady And The Tramp II had the same problem: being framed for the "framily friendly" 1.78:1 16x9 ratio while the original film was the wider 2.35:1.
BTW, and I'm not going to be dragged into this, but I was not implying AT ALL that DVD Toons should be the only review of this that one should seek out. I was merely stating that screener copies had begun to go out, with my source for this being that the site had received their copy. Unfortunately, due to "real life" work, I've had to stop writing for the site, but I'll still pick this up and hopefully squeeze in a viewing soon.
