We've had it here for months, but I haven't bothered with it.

OTOH, my son convinced me to watch Andor with him, and it's been a pleasant surprise. Really solid show, much better than Obi Wan.

(Which is why we got the nutty lab plot, instead of keeping them Xavier students from the comics...As Poolie points out, Fox won't let him inside the mansion.)

Point being, if Fox hadn't been greedy and wanted TWO "Marvel universes" of their own, we might have had a NM that wasn't crap. And a lot less producer in-fighting. And, ultimately, probably enough money to keep from being bought by Disney.
And, although inevitable, Dark Phoenix might probably have been postponed for another few years.

Uh, no. One franchise's failure, or success, especially just one film in that franchise, was not going to "save" 20th Century-Fox, or stop Murdoch’s wish to sell the 20th Century assets.

Iger just wanted instant classic and wide-ranging contemporary content for his streaming plans: the fact that this included bringing more characters back into the Marvel fold was just a bonus.

Well, see, in the comics, the NM's dropped out of school shortly after Magneto took over, Cable found them, turned them into the X-Force team, and Deadpool joined later.
And, since DP isn't allowed to play with the X-Men movies, they tried using Deadpool 2 to set up Cable...And then, when NM was delayed forever, and couldn't be that valuable step in the Franchise Universe Strategy, DP2 gave up and introduced their own X-Force instead. So much for universes.

Oh man, MTV Spidey! Love that show. Animation is bit dated now, but the swinging and fighting scenes were just the coolest. Wish it lasted beyond one season.

Oh, that weirdy hand-shaded CG look! I’d forgotten that! Spidey was one of a bunch of shows that had that look, if I remember, though it wasn’t always successful in its approach. I seem to remember the *non* Spidey scenes being better looking than the actual Spidey action, where his suit looked quite plasticky. Actually, I was kind of trying to remember where I’d seen the Spider-Verse style of shaded CG look before, and this was it. No, it’s not a perfect or even close match for what they have obviously achieved more in those films, but it was narking at me somewhat where I’d seen something similar before when Verse was getting all the praise. Essentially the same approach, but with the added staccato frame-drop movement and spot colour printing overlay to give it a more hand-crafted feel.

Other than that…a fairly quite D+ week, ahead of a busy November I guess…
