Yeah, that is quite sad.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Alan Menken shares tribute:
Lovely.Alan Menken wrote:I’m so saddened to hear of Angela Lansbury’s passing. She shined so bright in so many roles and in so many ways. And, yet, the actual, real, beautiful, precious person that she was, outshone them all. I feel blessed and privileged to have played any kind of role in her life to have shared the stage with her, to have produced her in the studio, as dear Mrs. Potts. I hope Howard Ashman is somehow there to greet her in spirit. She was so kind and compassionate towards him in his last days. She radiated love and she will be so missed by so many.

I know you don’t mean it, Rand, but that came off as really sarcastic! Ah, the power (or lack of it, sometimes) of type!
Yeah, lovely words from Menken.

Sad to hear, especially after what he said during the Harry Potter anniversary special.

With everyone I knew having grown up watching "Blackadder's Christmas Carol" every December, when I was spreading the news of the first movie casting with other book-geeks, it was usually:
"And they've got Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid!"
"Who?"
"'Spirit of Christmas, how d'ye do?'"
"...YES! He'd be perfect! "
(Even the only YouTube BACC clip I could find noticed the resemblance:

Fixed Blackadder for ya.
That’s a great clip combo, btw. Pretty seamlessly done, though they should have let it played a bit longer.

Another "Murder, She Wrote" star has passed. Commercial King Ron Masak has left us at age 86.
-----
A double tragedy for Carly Simon, losing two sisters, both to cancer, a day apart. Joanna Simon, an opera singer turned TV correspondent, died Wednesday of thyroid cancer at the age of 85. On Thursday, her sister, Lucy Simon, a Tony nominated songwriter, died of breast cancer at age 82. How heartbreaking. Carly is also breast cancer survivor.

Leslie Jordan dies at 67 in a car accident. Tragic. He was always so charming and funny. Definition of a scene stealer. Been enjoying him as of late on "Call Me Kat", one of the main reasons I tune in. Will be interesting to see how the show handles it. Shoot.

TCM has posted their yearly video of remembrance:
Beautiful. Lovely song choice, too. We lost so many greats. Those they chose to bookend with were perfect choices. I was especially moved with how they did Pat Carroll. TCM really knows how to do a tribute.
