Geez, what's the point of having your own streaming service, if you can't/don't run your own most popular films?!?

Re: Harry Potter and the Wizarding World
Peacock seems to show everything BUT Universal films, with whatever Paramount or Columbia just happened to be in the out-of-copyright dumpster to add to the catalog--
And even then, had to bum's-rush all the Hitchcock, Monsters, Abbott & Costello and Marx Brothers to make room for them...Who wants Universal movies like those, anyway?

Streaming’s about to burst. Look for lots of consolidation in the months and not many years to come. I reckon Paramount and Universal will be one again — in streaming terms — before too long. And maybe Sony ups into Prime, unless Netflix makes a desperate plea…

The reunion special got a physical release last week:
It was nice, I don't think enough to own though. Probably could've made it an extra on a future release.

This definitely felt like a disc extra, but the unexpected slipcase (yes, a slipcase as opposed to a slipcover) tipped me over the edge. That said, this is very non-essential, really.

A slipcase? That does make it oddly more appealing. But, my Hogwarts Collection already has tons of stuff I've never watched yet, so I'm good.

Okay, can you explain for us kids at home what the difference between a slipcase and a slipcover is?

A slipcase is a hard box that the disc case enters from the side. A slipcover is a thinner cardboard that slips over the top or bottom of the disc case.

People should get it before WB removes it from HBO Max.

WB Ceo wants to make another classic potter film and calls out Rowling to make another one.

Re: Harry Potter and the Wizarding World
What is he talking about!?
"We haven’t had a Superman movie in 13 years"…? No Potter "in 15 years"…!? Has he been *watching* ANY of the output of the company he just bought!?
And isn’t he clued in that there is/was a plan to make a set number of Beasts films before doing a "classic" Potter tale with the Cursed Child double bill?
It’s like he's just waking up to what he just bought…!

Oh, he knows what he has---- FRANCHISES, BABY!!!!
But did someone tell him that Rowling wrote an actual series of books, and that the story's been told already? Oh, okay, he wants to do mid-quels, I guess. I suppose that could work. But something fresh would be nice.
Or someone could explain to him about Tim Hunter from DC's Books of Magic! That'd REALLY get him excited!

Where’d you get the midquels thing from? That’s an absolutely awful idea, natch!

Re: Harry Potter and the Wizarding World
The oddest thing for me reading that article is he wants more Harry Potter but they have the Fantastic Beasts franchise, that they decided needed Harry Potter content inserted into them to help draw in the crowd which ultimately distracted from the FB story and caused the FB series to lose focus and direction leading to dimisihing box office returns. So people don't blindly see a movie cause it has Harry Potter content.

Re: Harry Potter and the Wizarding World
Sure, but where else do you go? If Cursed Child isn't the plan, then I assume you're looking at mid-quels. Besides, there are plenty of scenes in the last few books that were never adapted. Imagine a whole film on the Elf Liberation Front!
I wish I was joking.
