You know, I do believe this ship may sink. Extremely memorable in Titanic. Loved him as The Lobe in Freakazoid. I definitely consider the aforementioned Christmas Carol to be one of the best and he's one of the reasons.

Oh yeah! The Lobe! Genius.

Really hope his character is paid tribute to in the upcoming third Tron and that they don’t just abandon the Dillinger Jr story they were clearly setting up…

David Warner. Man, he was all over the place, and always a great presence in film and television. In every article about him today, it states "he was perhaps best known for," but every article finishes that sentence a different way! He just had so many fine roles, and I'm always surprised and delighted when he shows up in something I am watching.

Nichelle Nichols. 89 years old.

Lovely lady, a trailblazer, and an inspiration to many.

That story about her and MLK is still a favourite. Here's one version of it, if you don't know it:

And now Pat Carroll passes away at 95. Disney legend. Delivered one of, if not the, greatest villain song of all time. :(

This makes me very sad. Both amazing actors.

Totally agree on Pat Carroll, Dan.

Aside from Ursula, another one of my favorite roles of Pat was Jon's grandmother in the classic Garfield specials. Her monologue in "A Garfield Christmas" is just perfect:

So sweet.

I feel it’s my duty as a Garfield fan to post the original version. For whatever reason, the scene was re-animated in 1995…

1991. I actually prefer the updated version of that scene.

It is very sad when two famous actresses die on the same day.

Jodie Benson shares tribute:
