I know it was only by an extremely small margin, but based on how the media can’t stop talking about the film I was shocked that not just one but two other films topped Encanto in the readers' vote.

I think that largely has to do with the film not really becoming hugely popular until it was on Disney+.

I meant Encanto hadn’t been popular for very long when voting was open (it dropped on streaming at Christmas). :)

Like the article itself, we held the vote late as well, with the final ballots received in late February — several weeks after Bruno hit #1 on the Billboard chart. I think Randall may be on the right track! ;)

I was rehearsing Disney jokes for next trip, and brought up the story of the Taco Bell that had to request its landscaping crews not to prune the hedges near the outdoor dining area during operating hours, as leaves would often end up in diners' food while eating.

Crews were given strict orders: "We don't prune about tacos, no no no..."
