I do not, though to be honest, *ever* understand anyone jumping into a series on a second or even third movie. You wouldn’t start a book half way through…!

"Obi-Wan Kenobi" teaser:
Looks good. The Lucasfilm logo disappearing like sand and the Disney+ logo with a lightsaber are nice touches.

Re: Official Star Wars Thread
I admit that I was annoyed at the end when it said May 25. I forgot the premeire date and the trailer made me very keen to see it.
I loved the use of all the prequel music, I wasn't expecting Joel Edgerton to make an appearance. And I assume we go to Coruscant (that was Coruscant right?) It's so nice that Disney is finally acknowledging the prequel trilogy exists in a major way. This has definitely piqued my interest way more than any teaser I saw for The Mandolorian or Boba Fett.
I liked the acknowledgement of little Luke in the trailer but I assume the story is all about bounty hunters trying to track down Obi-Wan and kill him??

Well, at least they're not beating the Judge Doom jokes into the ground...

And…er, just how does a Judge Doom joke work in this context…?

About as well as a Doc Brown joke works on Tatooine.
(Or, for longer memoried fans, as well as jokes about Mace Windu dropping MF-bombs.)

Re: Official Star Wars Thread
Yeah, but the Mace jokes were based around the fact that Sam Jackson as playing him.
And they aren’t making Doc on Tatooine jokes. The show is called The Mandalorian. Christopher Lloyd drove a DeLorian. The two are very close, donchathink? And the fact he’s going to appear in the next season, some people made the connection, albeit fairly obviously.
But less obvious is *any* connection between The Mandalorian and Judge Doom. I’m afraid you’re still gonna have to explain that one to us…

Apart from the pun (so, is this going to be fan-beaten into the ground like that May 4th thing, too?), the poster seemed to be "Hey, that guy from that favorite 80's movie I know! "
Um, why, yes, he is. Well spotted.
And giving my usual about the Toontown fans who tend to be a little more vocal in THAT crowd.
