First look at Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson as Peter and Wendy:
Oof. Pretty underwhelming. Not really feeling the rope garment.

Classically, Peter is supposed to be dressed in leaves (since only had fairy fashion to go by, in his early years), it's only the Disney that gave him a patchy Robin Hood tunic.
Here, the rope has that sort-of stitched-together-leaf look while still keeping the full outfit.

Silly...Diverse ethnically-ambiguous Latin actors don't HAVE red hair!

I was kinda rhetorically stating the obvious, but thanks for providing the exclamation point!

Yeah, as "first looks" go, this is pretty uninspiring.

Yeah, his suit looks incredibly fake…very stagey. Also, the production design reminds me not so much of the Walt film but the Universal film from 2003. The actor playing Hook also definitely resembles Jason Isaacs.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Re: Disney's Peter Pan and Wendy (Live-Action)
Teaser poster and info:
Boring poster. Still don't like the idea of including girls and that line doesn't help! The footage starts off, rather appropriately, with Captain Hook asking, "Tell me, how did you come to Neverland?" We then see Wendy on a windy shore as she encounters the Lost Boys on a cliff — and this time, there are some girls among them. This is even remarked upon with the line, "You're not all boys." Which elicits the response, "So?"
The trio of Darling kids we know from the original animated classic meet Peter Pan in their pajamas and fly off to Neverland from Big Ben, the face of the clock shattering as they take flight from it. Pirates try to shoot them out of the sky with cannons, offering a sense of danger. Hook taunts, "Wendy Moira Angela Darling, where is Peter Pan?" Our hero then jumps in slow motion off a cliff towards a pirate ship floating in the air. Classic stuff! It has somewhat of a "Pirates of the Caribbean" vibe to it.

Re: Disney's Peter Pan and Wendy (Live-Action)
They should at least have a "Lost Girls" tribe that they meet and have to begrudgingly team up with to take on Hook by the end. That would work betterer.

Re: Disney's Peter Pan and Wendy (Live-Action)
Even if that does rather clash with JM Barrie's explanation that there are no Lost Girls in Neverland because "Girls are too smart to be lost!"
Also, erm...is Hook flying, in his big battle with Pan in that poster?
I sense the DISTINCT aroma of another kid whose childhood grew up warped by that obnoxious 2003 version.
(Or a producer who thought, well, if you're doing LA Peter Pan, the '03 was coin of the realm...)

Pretty sure that's Peter on the left and Wendy on the right flying, Hook on the ship and just below Michael and John.
