Tommy's still good: a handful of years ago he was Ebeneezer in the stage version of musical Scrooge, an absolutely awesome show that was so well done and popular that they brought it back the following Christmas for another run. It’ll be a sad, sad day when we lose him; one of the greats!

The shows are probably uploaded long before that anyway, so perhaps they’re just making them live earlier, as opposed to uploading, waiting/testing, and then setting live for the weekend.

My guess is it’s about the numbers, surprise. Numbers for Fridays are probably down a little bit as cinemas reopen and people go back to that night for new content, so switching makes sense: as with early theatrical release they can count the Weds-Fri counts as their launch numbers, catching those that will watch early because they have plans on a Friday, *and* those that traditionally watch on a Friday anyway. It’s kind of smart.

Fun to see Droids being added. At least they seem to be sticking to Fridays for the weekly big drops!

Droids prime time hour special the great heap is listed as a "season 2" episode of droids. Why is it not it's own listing like the other star wars specials? Also the music from the police is there so looks like rights have been cleared up!

Not sure when I watch, but I thought I’d catch it to see what the fuss was about. Hope it’s not as bad/hilariously bad as The Fault In Our Stars or as tedious and pretentious as Call Me By Your Name…those are four hours I’ll never get back!

I haven't seen Fault but Simon is far from the tedious and pretentiousness of CMBYN (which I swear took me 3 hours to watch). As Daniel said it is a nice heartfelt coming of age story. And it's nice that gay teens can finally have a teen romcom/John Hughes like movie that their straight peers have had forever. It's also nice that the movie isn't about HIV/death or even the character coming to terms with his sexuality. Yes there is an element of coming out but from the opening scene of the movie we know that Simon is comfortable being gay, he just isn't ready to tell people. I'm extremely grateful for the existence of Love, Simon.

I must say the trailer for Love, Simon, as well as the reviews, showed it to look like a funny and smart film, and one I wanted to see. And then it kind of came and went, and I missed the chance and forgot about it. You guys reminded me of it via the talk here and, when I saw it was on, I thought it would be a shame to miss it again. I look forward to getting around to it sometime this week.

The Art Of Racing In The Rain… Now, *some* people I know found this to be as uplifting a doggie film as A Dog's Purpose. Me? I found it to be the most stealth-like movie purporting to be one thing — another Dog's Purpose — but turning out to be the most depressing, continuously downbeat, heartbreakingly sad and unhappy film in a long while.

Where was the happy!? Who was this film for? What the heck was with that ending? How had the guy not committed suicide long before the credits rolled with all the downer stuff life kept throwing at him? That would have been a happier ending for him! I don’t need an explanation on the ending it has: I get it. I just wondered who thought it was a sane and reasonable idea…!?

But my wife? She loved it. As did our neighbor. But me? I was ready to shoot myself and join Enzo in that big kennel in the sky…before coming back as…oh I don’t know, a table? Why not?
