Speaking of spongebob.

The top grossing titles at the weekend domestic box office, were straight from Canada with Paramount’s SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run landing the No. 1 spot with $900K from 300 locations per the Melrose Ave studio with $345K on Friday, and $300K on Saturday, -13%.

SpongeBob Movie, along with Trolls: World Tour, have been the only new major studio mainstream movies (not counting specialty label titles) to be released during the pandemic.

Solstice Studios’ Russell Crowe road rage movie Unhinged, distributed in Canada by VVS, but it made $230K on Friday for a $582K 3-day.

I honestly didn’t make it past 20 minute of this. Something came up and I couldn’t watch to the end at that point, and, although I had intended to go back, I can’t really see myself bothering. It just didn’t gel for me.

That's... terrible news. The image embodies my reaction! Disappointing and soulless come to mind with the original. That whole Simon Cowell bit felt incredibly dated and he looked very uncanny compared to the gang. Forced cinematic universe that made no sense. Worst of all were the voices. Egad!

Coming from “Dan, Dan the Sequel Man,” that’s harsh.

Me too.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

That's another film I could do without. Was never a fan of Courage.

I know it's Warner selling their soap, but I haven't even heard a CN fan mention Courage in TWENTY YEARS.
I don't even know if they've still been banished to Boomerang, along with Johnny Bravo.

There's been lots of discussion of a prequel series since 2018.
