Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Remember back in the early 2000s or so when everything on the internet seemed to use camel case? "CoViD" took me back there!

Well, the new strain has made its way to the US, we just lost Dawn Wells (Mary Ann Summers of "Gilligan's Island") due to Covid complications. 2020, you shan't be missed! What a year.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Not to laugh, but Ann Summers has VERY different connotations here!
Yes, a big eff ewe to 2020. Let’s hope 2021 lives up to the hype!

I really hope things get better.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)
My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this week. I have a fear of water but she loves it so decided to surprise her with something she never thought we'd get to do together: a Disney cruise. I signed up for it about a month before Covid hit... oops.
So instead of being in the Caribbean right now, we had a pandemic-proof celebration. I rented a high-end BMW SUV for the day. We went to a nice restaurant and ordered food to go. We took it to a lake, parked at the shore, and ate it in the very roomy car. Then we went home and watched Wonder Woman 2 at a homemade drive-in theatre I put together in our driveway! (Leather seats, just like the fancy theatre!)
It will be a cool story about our life during Covid years from now, but screw you 2020!

Well, ain't ya clever!
Sounds like a fun anniversary night. Good for you!
We have our 25th anniversary coming up in March, but it'll likely be too cold here yet to be outside!
(Geez, you must have married young! Aren't I a few years older than you?)

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Well, that's the beauty of the idea. You turn on the heat and stay in the car!
The car rental part came about because eating fast food in our tiny cars the past nine months has been a pain, and I couldn't imagine having to eat something that required forks in them! Side benefit is it made it seem slightly more fancy which fit the occasion.
Would've been more fun if the movie had turned out to be better!
I always assumed we're all within just a couple of years of each other's age. I'm in my late 40s.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)
I never eat in my vehicle. It never seemed like it would be fun. Though, we did still have an A&W drive-in here when I was young, and my family did that a couple of times. It's been ages since I've been to a drive-in.
Aw, another bad review for Wondy. The early word had been so positive...
You're right, I guess. Sounds like I'm not much older than you. I turned 50 this year. I guess that makes sense, as our daughters are the same age.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)
I didn't either... until Covid! I'm too freaked out to eat in restaurant dining rooms, but don't always want to drive all the way back home after getting food to go, letting it get cold. It'll be one of those things that sucks now but I'll probably reminisce about when talking about the lockdown days in the future
I had high hopes, because I love Gadot in the role, but it was so cheesy and bad!
You're not that much younger than us you whippersnapper!

Whenever I go for takeout, Jen puts the oven on low. I get back, it goes in for a few mins while we get stuff out, just to keep warm, and presto...hot takeout!
Me younger? At 26* I’m almost half your age!

This has been doing the rounds here today, along with a few more that I definitely *wouldn't* post here!!
I’ve "hidden" that bingo pic, though, just for the language. Sadly, it is all so true!!

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Well, the more contagious strain of Covid has just hit upstate New York. Will be staying home as much as humanly possible. I know it’s important to be brave. Will try my best. I guess that’s good advice for all of us.
