Re: Jurassic World
The hype over Baby Yoda is one of the reasons why I have no interest in signing up to Disney+ and watching The Mandalorian.

Re: Jurassic World
1. It is not "Baby Yoda."
2. It does not look like Greedo. If it did, everyone would mistakenly call it Baby Greedo instead.
3. The "live" puppet comes off pretty darn adorable.
4. Refusing to watch a show or sign up for a channel because of "hype" is one's choice to make, but strikes me as odd.

Re: Jurassic World
1) I know it is not Baby Yoda. But that’s what he’s become known as, even on the news reports. Blame everyone else for getting it wrong, I’m just calling it what it’s known as to save confusion.
2) It looks like Greedo. It only looks like Yoda because of the shape of the ears. But Yoda had lovely, expressive eyes. This one just has black, in a much more greener skin. Like Greedo.
3) Could it actually be half Yoda-half Greedo? Like a Groda?
4) Does any of this really actually matter?

Re: Jurassic World
Dominion has been delayed until 2022. Bummer. Here's a new poster that reflects the change:
Pretty awesome! Looked like a pumpkin carving at first.

Yes, love the amber/shadow combo! Plus what a cast! Goldblum back, plus Dern, Neill and Wong!! (Hope we get to see Mr. DNA return as well! Lol.)
(Hope Wong has a bigger role than he did in the JW from 2015. Haven’t seen Fallen Kingdom, did he have a bigger role there?)

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Re: Jurassic World
Cheeses Christmas, Vi! You need to see Fallen Kingdom RIGHT NOW!!!!
It’s superb, and Wong indeed plays a massive part. Apart from one fairly stupid element, which is quite minor in the grand scheme of things, it’s insane how different to the other films in where this goes that FK is. I was seriously enthralled and entertained for the whole thing.

Re: Jurassic World
That reminds me... I still need to watch FK, too! But no one in my family has been too interested. I guess I'll have to view it on my own.

Okay, I'll bite: What's the "one" stupid element, out of several dozen before I lost count?Ben wrote: ↑October 7th, 2020, 5:03 pmCheeses Christmas, Vi! You need to see Fallen Kingdom RIGHT NOW!!!!

(Yeah, I know, it's the girl, not the post-credits shot.)
As for "Different", hardly--This is almost plot for plot JWFK : JW :: Lost World : JP1.
The only difference is in HOW goofy the last "Evil businessmen want to steal the technology and it gets loose" reel is, with the new franchise upgrade.

Re: Jurassic World
The amount of money being paid for freakin' cloned DINOSAURS.
I mean, with a bit of financing, we could all band together and buy one. If this happened in any way in the real world, these animals, with the millions and billions of dollars research thrown into the project, would be going for much more than a few million bucks each. It was laughably ludicrous how cheap they were being bid for.
And different? HELLO, we're totally not on an island anymore!! I loved how the trailers totally disguised that only the first third took place in the same old locations, and then...BONKERS!

Re: Jurassic World
Maybe it was a "cash only" auction.
But yeah...it made no sense that the dinosaurs were going for less money than a Paranormal Activity movie makes over opening weekend.

And the little girl doesn't do gymnastics!
(But, we're still wandering around jungle ruins of the earlier film...And Jeff "Brainy Smurf" Goldblum shows up to say I Told You So...
Well, at least nobody crashed into a Blockbuster Video.)
