Thanks for bumping the thread, Christian.
I'm gald you saw Valiant for what it was and enjoyed it. I think, as you say, it did what it set out to do.

There's a preview on Kronk's New Groove as well.

Crap - know I wanna rent KNG. It's not that I didn't want to see it, I just thought I could wait for the Disney Channel showing of it...

The Emperor's New Groove 2: Kronk's New Groove (to give it its full on-screen title) is very funny.
The Wild teaser that appears on it and the front of Valiant is a "Disney Channel Movie Surfers" peek at that and Shaggy Dog. There are only a handful of shots featured, most of which turned up as the stills we are asked to take down. It's still just a WIP version.

It looks
amazingly like Disney's version of
Madagascar. A lion, a zebra, and others--- including a bunch of penguins--- escape the zoo and head for the wild. I couldn't beleive the similarities, although the visual style is quite different.

A work in progress version of an animated CG feature.

I think valiant is certainly not the best film to debut in CGI but it is a good film. Its cute, relitvely funny and can educate kids enough, just so, not to bore them. It has some good moral values and the animations not bad (dispite the goofs). It reminds me of the good old days of The Incredible Mr.Limpet.
Its a shame Disney didnt market it properly it probably would have had a better run.

"Valiant" was alright, but it is probably my least favorite animated movie of 2005.

"Appleseed"?
Is that an actual movie?
