I’m kinda good skipping this movie. WB have yet to give themselves a clear path in animated features...a surprise given the lengthy background and all the properties they now own...

Dynomutt without the World's Most Annoying Goofy-Laugh is not Dynomutt.
(It was even the plot-point in one episode, when Falcon gladly let a mad-scientist reprogram Dynomutt, with the promise of "You say you'll get rid of the laugh?")

Warner wants to do a 180 from their Cartoon Network years, grab onto their Warner Archive cult-audience that still defends the 70's H-B titles, and use this as the flagship to create the (yes) "HBCU" of interconnected characters--with a for the moment Muttley-free Dick Dastardly as the movie villain--but we sense they're still hobbled by a hipster need to "update" the characters (with a goofy Falcon and snarky Dynomutt) if they're going to sell the names and faces.
...Oh, Warner, could you just give us one clear day when you're not singlehandedly trying to ruin the movie industry?

Wait, Blue Falcon has a black female sidekick now, TOO?
(Granted, I never watched much of the original toon at the time, any more than I watched Captain Caveman & the Teen Angels...C"mon, Warner, as long as you're kissing up to the 70's Archive fans, couldn't we have them, too?)

Captain Caveman was awesome! Actually, he looks quite cool here. I can’t help but think they missed a trick doing a live-action comedy where modern day peeps have to keep an unfrozen Cavey secret...he could look exactly like that and it would still work.
This still isn’t really floating my boat otherwise. Dick Dastardly doesn’t resemble his old counterpart in the least and just a beefed up Bowler Hat Guy, while Falcon keeps reminding me of Condorman, bizarrely. Some flashes of originality would be nice...

Where are you hearing that SpongeBob 3 got moved, gaastra? It appears it still has its May release date (for now).

And, latest news...it's going direct-to-streaming:
https://variety.com/2020/film/box-offic ... 203539529/
(Warner: "But that's because Trolls:WT was so popular! And NOT because we missed our summer window!")
Well, back to the drawing board---Looks like they'll need a Plan B for jumpstarting their Hanna-Barbera brandname as a house icon by pulling in the 70's Archive-boxset fans.

Well, all those release dates are going to get pretty backed up. Not everything can hang on for a theatrical release for another 6-24 months (who knows?). With expectations likely modest, this was one to give a home premiere to.
