Considered one of the last surviving stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Lauren Bacall passed away quietly today. She was 89.
Married twice, she was best known for her marriage to Humphrey Bogart and the movies they co-starred in. Although her movie career declined after the 1950s, she continued to guest-star in many TV series and act on stage.
Bacall continued her career into the last year of her life. Although not a prolific voice actor, she did a guest role on a recent episode of Family Guy and was the voice of the Witch of the Waste in the Disney-produced English dub of Howl's Moving Castle.
She is survived by her two sons and daughter.

Wow. Bad week for deaths. At least she lived her life, though.

RIP Arlene Martel (T'Pring in original Star Trek TV series)
Another one was Arlene Martel, who played T'Pring in the original Star Trek TV series ...
We've just learned from Marc Cushman that Arlene Martel passed away during the night. She had been in good health and was active until recently when she suffered a heart attack.
Arlene, as most Star Trek fans know, played T'Pring in the TOS episode "Amok Time," as well as prominent appearances on iconic shows such as Hogan's Heroes, The Wild, Wild West, and Columbo.
On June 28, Arlene made her last public appearance with Marc in the Santa Monica library auditorium for a screening of scenes from Star Trek: TOS and a Q & A panel. She loved making appearances of this type and meeting the fans of Star Trek and her other work. Marc is sorry to pass this sad news along to us about Arlene. She will live on in our hearts and in her hundreds of TV and film appearances. Bless you, Arlene.
