Why yes I did! I got Owen Wilson to autograph my Lightning plushie. I even have the Sharpie marker that he used beside it in my room. And now I call my plushie "Owie". ^^
I was hoping that Brad Bird would show up, but he never did. I even asked the woman with the guest list standing next to me if he would be coming. She said he wouldn't. I felt so bad. I was sure he'd be there.

Why do those (EDIT: Professional reviewers) who give negative reviews of Cars feel the need to simultaneously beat up on DW? "This is what we would expect from a DreamWorks film, etc..."
Give me a break. Do they feel so guilty for disliking a Pixar film for a change that they have to bash DW in order to make themselves feel better?
Anyway, I think Cars looks entertaining enough. Can't get over how amazing the designs are. I'm looking foward to the racing scenes especially.

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Heh. Where did that come from, SV? I don't think anyone made a comment like that recently in this thread.
And you will love the racing scenes. Some of the sound effects blew me away. And the movements of the cars were very realistic, even though some scenes required them to move differently for comic effect. It was all so believable.

Me too.
My mom wasn't really looking forward to this - whenever I mentioned it, she kind of got this look on her face and said, "I think I'll wait for the DVD." Then I convinced her to watch the Pixar thing on ABC with me (I had already seen it the day before), which she really enjoyed. In fact, now she actually wants to see this! We're planning on going to a drive-in theater to chalk-up the experience. She also told me one of the teachers at the day-care/pre-school place she works at saw it too, and now wants to do a Cars-themed class. (I'm trying to find out whether or not there's anything I can do to help - the woman asked my mom if I could do drawings of the characters so the kids could color them, which would be fantastic.)

I like the drive-in theater idea.Meg wrote:We're planning on going to a drive-in theater to chalk-up the experience.
That would be great if you got to do Cars drawings for the teacher. I know you have the talent.

Oh the soundtrack was awesome. I'm not that big on country music, but that didn't matter while watching this movie.
My favorites were Real Gone by Sheryl Crow (the song from the opening scene) and Life Is A Highway by Rascal Flatts. I love how someone described Real Gone on Amazon.com:
"Real Gone from Sheryl Crow is a great song to the opening scene of Cars, fast paced and makes you want to get up and dance with adrenaline."
Couldn't have said it better myself.

You're welcome! I think I went photo crazy when I was there. Right, Brandon? XP
And Owie was originally Brandon's nickname idea. When I was talking about how exciting it would be if I could meet Owen Wilson at the WP, he was like, "Oh, so are you gonna call him 'Owie' now?". LOL He was joking around with me because he knows how I am with guys I like. Anyway, after I got Owen's autograph, I decided to call my plushie Owie. Haha.
