What Spielberg’s Harry Potter might have been like. Really fascinating! .

Sounds like it would've been awful.

They don’t mention that he wanted Haley Joel Osment as Harry. Yeah...

I don’t mean to repeat my dislike of Seth Rogen’s work for the millionth time, but this has got to be a joke:

I dunno, after Good Boys I really don’t see this guy in a Spielberg movie, especially one so close to the latter’s heart and soul.
(However, I am VERY excited about West Side Story! )

He actually does have range. He brilliantly plays the straight man in The Disaster Artist by simply being himself.

Not that I actually like the guy, find him talented or think he’s been anything but hugely lucky in who he knows and the opportunities he’s found himself in, but for an even better example of a straight dramatic role in a solidly involving drama, see: Steve Jobs.

Re: Avengers, Justice League and more in READY PLAYER ONE!
Now that three and a half years have passed since the release of Ready Player One, one can’t help but wonder how people now see the dystopian film that dared to have an optimistic ending.
Incredibly, RPO is even more relevant today than it was in 2018. The desperation and sadness in the story is actually a very good match with our post-Covid world, (even though the issue of disease was never specifically explored in the film.)
It’s quite depressing how accurate the sad and angry future world in Spielberg’s film turned out to be. But like I said, at least there’s that optimistic ending where the main characters stop looking at technology to fulfill their every emotional need. They realize that real strength is found in looking to themselves…and to each other.

Well the Duel one is really just a camera reflection, and they missed out some animated joke ones too, for We're Back! and Animaniacs, but fair play for spotting out a couple of the lesser known ones. Famously, the Vanilla Sky moment (and Blues and Austin Powers, which are the only ones that really qualify for what a movie "cameo" truly is) was a trade for Cameron Crowe to pop up in a Spielberg movie, which I think was Minority Report, shooting around the same time.

There were a bunch in Tiny Toons and Freakazoid as well.
I love the Austin Powers one, definitely the best/funniest in my opinion. (Also cool because Gwyneth Paltrow is his goddaughter.)
