Will premiere on Starz July 15. Been wanting to rent, but it's always checked out!

Well, we all know now what happened to all those deleted scenes that were originally advertised to appear on the Blu-ray - they saved them for the theatrical double-dip. Annoying, but not totally unexpected.
To be honest, I was disappointed in No Way Home. Once you got past the "big surprise" that was no longer a surprise, so many aspects of the film really didn't work for me. The plot really makes no sense, as well-intentioned as it is, and a certain character's demise was totally mishandled, sending the wrong message altogether.
Really, it was my least favourite of the Holland films, despite the fun bits.

No Way… was at least far better than Far From Home, which was just a bad film, period, Spidey or not!

Nope, disagree. I really liked Far from Home. No Way Home was a mess and a miss for me.
Once you get past the gimmicks, NWH's just not that great. Second viewings won't do it any favours, as the story problems will only get more obvious. I don't think it will age all that well.

But Far From… as just a noisy mess. I just wanted it to end! And the droney ending was just stupid and loud and dumb and loud and endless and loud and…

I liked Far From Home for being the update of a very tricky Silver Age classic character (ahem, we're looking at YOU, Sam Raimi putting Sandman in SM3...)--
All the promotion wanted to keep the "twist" about Mysterio secret, so I was one of the fans thinking "Wait, 'hero' Mysterio? What's going on, MCU??" But, darnit, they used that Civil War Tony-hologram callback to keep villain's classic "fake" gimmick up to date, and stayed true to character.
Again, though: I'll side with Randall that No Way Home did not feel like an actual movie, it felt like one of those talk-show cast reunions where they get the old and new casts of some classic remade show together on the same stage. Sort of a MCU Spiderman 2-1/2 to promote the Dr. Strange movie.

The latest Madame Web rumour has it being a time-traveling Terminator riff, with Peter's mom being targeted for murder before he can be born.
As stupid as that sounds, I can see Sony greenlighting it.

Maybe we’ll finally get to see more Richard Parker (not the tiger) backstory, since that was so much needed…
