Plus, about DTV's, even though JL doesn't care much for them, he apparently is more interested in doing them with fairies like Tink than Snow White or Cinderella:

Yes, its better than Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. But by all circumstances, it wasn't that bad. Certanly, they looked a little stiff, and weired, but for Mickey's debut into CG, he looked great!
I enjoyed it, and I think its a great companion to Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas. And, after watching a few episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, I can safely say, it was by far, the worst it could've been.

Well, personally I think Mickey's clubhouse is much better than the Twice Mickey!
He's much more rounded, curved and friendly-looking, still has kind of a 2-d feel even with the 3 dimensions....the Mickey in Twice is way too hard-edged and angular, and all out of proportion....
(but I haven't really watched either, so I can't say which I really "like"...)

Interesting article on Pixar, from a year ago but quite informative. Good for learning about Pixar history. (Originally published in Variety)
I also like how it makes Steve Jobs look like some kind of genius because, apparently, only he had the vision to see the promise of Pixar and bought them early on for 10 million, while Disney held out and ended up paying 7 billion. He only bought them so he could eventually sell them, which he tried to do numerous times in years after.
It mentions nothing on nEXT, Jobs' failure with it or how he wanted to fashion nEXT (and no doubt Pixar before it) into a do-it-yourself computer animation operating system, sold to the highest bidder, with no particular regard for artistry or artistic sensiblity, much less the integrity of the medium.
I have to give him props though. He was smart enough to manuver his way into buying Pixar for dirt cheap back in the 80's, then hold on long enough until he could sell them for a gigantic price. No wonder the guy runs Apple.
(BTW, I'm not sure if the byline David S. Cohen is the Simpsons guy. I'd think not since he changed his middle inital to X.
