Lady and the Tramp (Live-Action)
We have our first look:
I suppose they look the part, Lady more so. Feels weird as usual.
Unlike Lion King or Jungle Book, these are REAL dogs, so there's that... I'm thinking their "voices" will be in the form of voice overs.

Oh, look, Lady & Benji!
Or the CGI-enhanced mouths that the studio beat to death during the late 90's/early-00's, qv. "Underdog", "Beverly Hills Chihuaua".

I guess that Lady's okay, but is that the closest they could come to finding a dog that looked like Tramp?
Whatever. The whole thing is pointless anyhow.
Disney+ gets less appealing every day.

Here's a look at the logo:
The original was beautiful and inspired, this looks pretty hollow. Like the movie will no doubt feel.

First new logo I’ve seen where the Disney is almost as big as the title!
And shouldn’t that be Disney+ for a streaming original? Guess they dint want to differentiate l especially as this may get a Euro cinema release before + is available here.

Latest reason not to remake--
The cats are no longer Siamese, because Disney didn't please:

Sigh.
The only thing that offends me anymore is people telling me I should be offended by something. Y'know?

Don’t worry...you won’t be offended by the cats in the original anymore either. No doubt they’ll be joining Dumbo's crows in the "no longer appropriate" pile...

Wow. I mean—WOW.
I understand that many might be offended by these images, but that was a different time and the Siamese cats are a VITAL part of the story.
Regardless of how you feel about him, Walt Disney was a singular genius who (with the help of of other brilliant artists) not only transformed the medium of film, but American and eventually worldwide media culture as a whole. You really can’t overestimate the impact he had as an individual.
It is just so wrong to be butchering these films. Thanks, Iger.

From that same article:
Just don't take away Joe and Tony, per favore?
Shame if they do.Variety wrote:There’s also a possibility Wondaland will do a pass on the film’s signature song “He’s A Tramp,” another individual added.

Re: Lady and the Tramp (Live-Action)
Oh right, I guess it’s because Tramp is kind of a “womanizer”, and Peggy sings about how she loves and needs him regardless? Yeah, I can definitely see how that’s offensive. I mean why should any character in a Disney film be three-dimensional and nuanced? I simply can’t even imagine how damaged little girls who’d watch this scene of the film would be. (If they even understand what it’s about in the first place. I didn’t. )
