Re: Inside Out
I'm still needing more of a "hook", personally. It looks all kinds of cute, but I'm not yet feeling the "emotion" of this "major emotion picture". That said, this is Pete Docter after all, so it's bound to be something tough to sum up in a two minute trailer...!

Re: Inside Out
I find I'm initially not too interested in many Pixar movies (including this one), but almost always end up being impressed by them. (Brave being an exception.)

Re: Inside Out
I'm guessing the memory plot constitutes the main "action" component of the movie that Pixar trailers never tell us about, and it's pretty easy to predict the obligatory Carl & Ellie moment will be found within.Ben wrote:I'm still needing more of a "hook", personally. Pixar trailers are never what they seem, until the final reveal.

Re: Inside Out
Early impressions of Inside Out--could be Pixar's smartest film yet! (I'm not surprised!)

You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

A word to the wise: do not watch the international trailers; they show wayyyyy too much!

Re: Inside Out
I learned that ten years ago when I watched an international trailer for the fourth Harry Potter movie.
"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift--that is why it's called the present."

Re: Inside Out
Fathom Events will be hosting an advanced screening event of Inside Out in select theaters on June 16, three days before the film's proper release date. Though ticket prices for this showing will be high ($25), the event will show the film in full, plus a behind-the-scenes featurette, and a Q&A session with director Pete Docter, producer Jonas Rivera, and star Amy Poehler live via satellite from their Australian tour. Attendees will also get a commemorative poster and lanyard that includes a special code for access to digital extras.

Although "high", that ticket price is a heck of a great deal!

Fathom usually plays most of the Cinemark theaters, which have a share of the shopping-mall 'plexes depending on your area--
Nothing for Binghamton, NY, though, unless the listing's too early.
